Customized Employment

Students participate in customized employment training
Hermantown High School students from Justin Galt’s program as well as students from Proctor High School in Sara Boespflug’s and Joyce McQuiston's programs participated in the systematic instruction portion of a customized employment training which was held on March 9, 2018 at Proctor High School. Students received $15 cash for spending 30 minutes of time completing a job task of assembling a bicycle brake, which involved several steps under the guidance of Marc Gold & Associates which is a national trainer on customized employment and trainees from throughout the state of Minnesota. It was a powerful opportunity for Vocational Rehab Services (VRS), Community Partner staff and school staff to see this type of worksite support with one of the gurus of customized employment, Mike Callahan, co-owner of Marc Gold & Associates.
